Almost everyone uses email to send and receive information, whether for personal or business use. While it has made lives a lot easier and convenient, it also comes with a lot of risks. More and more individuals have already been victimized by cybercriminals just by getting access into their emails. This is why it is important that you know the basics when detecting malicious emails before it does damages to you or your businesses.

When receiving emails, always check the address of the sender. Is it legit? Do you know the sender personally? If not, never download the attached files. They usually contain the virus. Don’t get fooled by the email’s subject. Finally, never click any link inside that email although it was sent to you by someone you know. Ask the recipient first before you click the link or download any attachments.
